David Roof

David J. Roof, age 58 of Gulfport, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Roof and his mother, Carol Jones Roof Cook.
He is survived by his sisters, Linda (Roger) Stiver of Knoxville, TN, Lisa Bonamigo of Maumee, OH, and Karin (Shane) Scott of Brownville, NY; his nephews, Ryan Sarson, Brad Sarson, John Bonamigo and Jim Bonamigo; his niece, Cara Bonamigo and his great nephew, Luke Mueller.
David was born at Ft. Meade, MD but raised in Lima, OH. Most recently, he was a resident of Gulfport, MS. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1974. Later, he attended Miami University in Oxford, OH, and graduated from Allied School of Instrument Repair in Wisconsin.
He worked at Mississippi Music as a band instrument repair technician until 2008. David was a member of the NAPBIRT (National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repairmen.) In his spare time, David enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, woodworking and golf. He was also an Eagle Scout.

A visitation will be held Friday, June 26, from 5-7 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.
