David "Dave" Alan Petterson, 84 and resident of Biloxi, MS, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018.
Dave was born in Chicago, IL on April 1, 1933. His love of golf at a young age led him to an Evans Scholarship to Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. There he earned a degree in Engineering, met and married Linda Stanford. Following his graduation he served two years in the U.S. Army, then took his first job in Minneapolis with Honeywell. He earned his MBA from the University of Minnesota, and built his family and career in Minneapolis.
Dave remained an avid golfer, and with an early retirement migrated south, ultimately settling in Biloxi where he met and married Judy. He has lived in Biloxi for the past 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Petterson; his first wife, Linda Petterson; and brother, Richard Petterson.
Dave is survived by his wife of 25 years, Judith "Judy" Petterson; his children: Tami Petterson (William), Cheri Petterson, Stephen Petterson (Dzung), and James Petterson (Anja); and Judy's children: Kathleen "Casey" Goff (Lonnie), Brian Devaney, David Devaney, and Karen Cheek (Chandler); ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Southern Memorial Park, Biloxi. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Biloxi, served the family. Memories may be shared at www.riemannfamily.com.
