David Allen Perkins, age 55, of Gulfport, passed away on October 2, 2026, in Mobile, Alabama. He was born and raised in Gulfport and was a graduate of Mississippi State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degrees.

David dedicated his career to the Harrison County Utility Authority, where he served as an Operations & Maintenance Manager.

He enjoyed camping and riding his motorcycle on off-road trails through the Tennessee mountains. He cherished spending time with his family and making memories with the people he loved.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Lee Ladner Perkins.

He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Toni Marie Perkins; his father, Allen Albon Perkins; his children, Ethan Michael Perkins, Chase Tyler Perkins, and Brooke Emily Perkins; his siblings, Mark A. Perkins (Tabitha) and John A. Perkins; his uncle, Derlon Perkins; his aunt, Faye Perkins Clary; and numerous cousins and extended family members.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:30PM, at Campground Baptist Church, 20577 Highway 53, Gulfport, MS 39503.

David will be remembered for the moments he shared with those he loved and for his appreciation of life's simple joys. Two of his favorite sayings were, “We only have moments in time” and “It’s the little things that truly matter.”

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
