Mr. David Vincent LaRosa, Sr, age 75, of Long Beach, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Katherine LaRosa; and brother, Frank LaRosa.
David is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Doris Pavolini LaRosa; children, David Vincent LaRosa, Jr. (Susan) and Michael LaRosa; granddaughters, Alexis J. LaRosa and Jillian Navi LaRosa; brother, Donald LaRosa (Anne); sister, Lori Ladner (Greg); and several nieces and nephews.
David was a self-employed business owner who ran Delta Plumbing from 1970 to 1993. Later, he operated L and L Developers Inc from 1987 to 1999. Alongside his businesses, he served as a Harrison County Supervisor from 1989 to 1999 and was also the Harrison County Tax Collector from 1999 to 2020. During his time in these roles, he earned several achievements and awards, which were some of his proudest accomplishments.
He graduated from Long Beach High School and was known for enjoying simple pleasures such as hunting and farming at his George County camp. These hobbies brought him joy and were an important part of his life.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Hightower, Dr. Maalouf, and Dr. Mullen and his home health nurse, Elizabeth, for her great care over the years.
David will be remembered for his hard work, dedication to his community, and the simple joys he embraced throughout his life.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 9 - 11 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 E Beach Blvd, Long Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am in the church. Interment will be in Long Beach City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Memorial Foundation Oncology Fund, 4500 13th Street, Gulfport, MS 39501.
The Riemann Family Funeral Home, Long Beach, is serving the family.
