David Jeffrey Davis, age 44, and a resident of Gulfport, MS, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at his residence in Gulfport.
He was a native of Mississippi and has resided in Gulfport for 44 years. He was employed as a commercial kitchen installer. Jeffrey loved being outdoors and you would often catch him at the river with his son Maddox and friends enjoying the water. Jeffrey enjoyed football season he spent his Saturdays cheering on Ole Miss and on Sundays the New Orleans Saints. He was also known for making bets with family members that came with whatever ridiculous wager Jeffrey could think of, sometimes it would be money other times payment would come in sets of pushups, and he made sure every wager was paid in full. Jeffrey loved the drag strip and made sure his family knew when the next big event was so they could make plans to all attend together. Jeffrey was a very hard worker who spent 20 plus years doing the job he loved to say he was a professional is an understatement. Jeffrey thrived on spending time with family and friends and made lots of memories that his family will never forget. Jeffrey would pride himself on being a dad to Maddox and would often say his son was his biggest accomplishment.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Kenneth; his grandfather, Jack Duffy; his aunt, Nancy Dooley; his uncle, James Dooley; his nephew, Hayden Varone; and his brothers, Jermey Warden and Brandon “Rambo” Asher.
He is survived by his son, Maddox Davis; his mother, Gail Harris; his father, Lonnie Warden; his sisters, April Varone, Beth Carmack, Crystal Kelly, Shannon Fillbrunn; his brother, Eric Warden; his nephews, Ethan Ladner, Tyler Carmack, Larry Carmack lll, William Sample IV, Jordan Carmack, Finley Gazzier, Bryson Gazzier and Dahlton Asher; his great-nephews, Carson Jackson, Beaux Morris, Emmett Carmack, Elliott Carmack, and Xander Allen; his nieces, Kelsey Kelly, Callie Davis, Chelsy King, Amberly Varone, Brooklyn Davis, Savanna Kelly and Madeline Cooke; and his great-niecesm Memphis Taylor, Everleigh Carmack, Ivy Ladner and Violet Ladner.
