David Lee Gannon, 60, of Gulfport, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
David was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Michael Gannon, Sr., of Gulfport; mother, Leodia Savarese Gannon of Gulfport; and sister, Joanne Gannon Killegrew of Long Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Piazza Gannon and daughter Adrienne Cecile Gannon, both of Gulfport; his brother, Joseph M. Gannon, Jr., of Long Beach; and sisters, Mary Gannon Loney Eason of Wiggins and Linda Gannon Mucha of Biloxi.
He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews, and 7 great nieces and nephews.
David was a 1970 graduate of Gulfport High School and received his bachelor's degree in Social Rehabilitation and Counseling from the University of Southern Mississippi.
David was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed football at all levels, especially the New Orleans Saints.
He was a devoted husband and father who deeply cherished his wife and adored his daughter, as well as his other family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Long Beach, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m.
Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Gulfport.
