Darren Lee Richard

Darren Richard, age 54, of Saucier, Mississippi, passed away on November 27, 2025.

A proud native of Mississippi, Darren lived a life filled with adventure, laughter, and a deep love for the outdoors. He was well-known throughout the Coast fishing community for his remarkable achievements, earning many fishing trophies over the years and holding multiple state record catches. Some of his records were officially documented, while others remained celebrated memories among fellow anglers. He was especially proud to be a two-time Sheepshead Showdown Champion.

When he wasn’t on the water, Darren enjoyed hunting and spending time in nature. He was happiest with a rod in his hand, surrounded by friends, family, and the peacefulness of the outdoors.

He is survived by his two loving children, Jordan (son) and Karra (daughter), his brothers, Joe, Terry, and Billy, and his sister Sherry. He also leaves behind extended family members and many close friends who will forever cherish the fun, stories, and memories he shared with them.

Darren will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love for the Gulf Coast, and the pride he took in every catch — big or small.
