Darda J. "D.J" Heal

Darda J. ""D.J."" Heal, age 80 and a resident of Ocean Springs, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014 in Ocean Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Esther Heal.
Mr. Heal is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Elizabeth ""Betty"" Heal Of Ocean Springs; his children, Ernest Heal and Karen Carney of Jacksonville, FL, Renae Breeland and her husband Alfred of Biloxi, Anthony Heal, Glenn Heal and his wife Crystal, and Victoria Tinson and her husband Randy, all of Ocean Springs; brothers, Melvin Heal and his wife Laurine of Florida and Gary Heal and his companion Nancy Ririe of Lusby, MD; five grandsons; three granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren and a sixth due in April.
Mr. Heal loved to travel and especially enjoyed spontaneous road trips with his family. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Ocean Springs.
D.J. served our country during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, retiring from the U.S. Air Force as a Captain after 20 years. He later retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding with 20 years of service.
There will be a visitation for family and friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. The graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery. Memories may be shared at www.riemannfamily.com .
