Daniel Alan Kelley, (Dan, Danny, Monk, Danno) 64, a beloved son, brother and friend passed away on May 5, 2026 in Gulfport, Mississippi. Born August 21, 1961, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, New Jersey, Dan was the youngest of our family of five boys and one girl. He moved to Mississippi when he was nine years old along with his mother, stepfather, and two of his older brothers, Ronald and Paul. Over the years, he lived in Long Beach, Hattiesburg, Mobile and finally Biloxi. He had many jobs over the years, including a store clerk, surveyor, limo driver, but his favorite job wasn’t really a job for him, it was playing guitar in bands and giving guitar lessons.

Dan was proceeded in death by his father and stepmother, George and Margaret Kelley, mother and stepfather, James and Dolores Wilson, brothers George and Paul Kelley, brother-in-law Cliff Griffiths, sister-in-law Barbara Kelley.

He is survived by his sister Susan Griffiths of Glendora, New Jersey, brother and sister-in-law David and Lynn Kelley of Port St. Lucie, Florida and brother and sister-in-law Ronald and Lisa Kelley of Long Beach, Mississippi.

The family is grateful for all the doctors, nurses and health care workers at Gulfport Memorial Hospital, Driftwood Nursing Center and St. Joseph Hospice for their loving care.

A burial service will be held in the future for the family and friends in Long Beach City Cemetery.
