Daisy S. Mitchell, born in Gulfport, Ms. on November 12, 1925, to John and Susie Savarese, went to be with her Savior, Friday, October 18, 2013. Daisy spent her life working as a secretary in the Gulfport School system and as a homemaker.
Daisy was preceded in death by the love of her life, G. Grafton Mitchell; her parents, and siblings. She is survived by her three sons, Mike Mitchell (Cindy), Glenn Mitchell, and Greg Mitchell (Sue); sisters, Mae Hayes and Helen Graves, brother, Russell Savarese (Ione); her grandchildren Heath (Shelly), Amy (Leslie), Dustan, Amber, Wiley, Dustin, Andrew, Michelle (Drew) and Haley; great-grand children Angelle, Levi, Aiden, Madisyn, Korbin, Gavin, Olivia, Caleb, Chance and Maddex; cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends.
Daisy was devoted to her God, her church, her family and her friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Franklin, Dr. Baker, Tender Loving Care Health Care, and their staffs.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013 from 1:00 until 2:00pm at the First Assembly of God Church in Gulfport, with the funeral service will be held at 2:00pm in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow at Evergreen Gardens Cemetery in Gulfport.
