Cynthia Ann Roth Bolton, 66 and a resident of Gulfport, lost her battle with cancer on November 9, 2015, but was brave until the end. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach.
Cindy was born in Fort Bragg, NC, but spent most of her life in the New Orleans area, graduating from Riverdale High School. She moved to the MS Gulf Coast to be near her mother, whom she loved dearly. After losing everything during Katrina in 2005, she did not leave but stayed and volunteered every day to help prepare meals for the first responders in Long Beach for several months. Despite her loss, she offered her support and a smile for others and never complained. She was then employed by the Long Beach Police Department as a records clerk and administrative assistant, and for the past ten years has been a loyal member of her department and friend to her co-workers. Just before she passed, the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce recognized her as the 2015 Long Beach City Employee of the Year.
Cindy volunteered for several years with the American Heart Association in memory of her father who lost his life to heart disease. She was a wonderful loving mother to her two sons and adored her granddaughter and great-granddaughter. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Roth; her grandfather, Louis Brouillette; her grandmother, Lillian Brouillette; her step-grandmother, Evelyn Brouillette; and her nephew, Joseph Fontenot.
Survivors include her mother, Luana Brouillette Roth; her sons, Timothy Bolton and Thomas Bolton; her brother, George Roth; her sisters, Deborah Roth, Pamela Roth Fontenot and Lillian Roth; her granddaughter, Christiana Bolton; her great-granddaughter, Gabriella Bolton; her aunt, Lola Brouillette Salia; her niece, Stephanie Fontenot Stewart; and several other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2015, from 6pm-8pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 13, 2015, at 11am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Long Beach, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
