Curtis Ladner

Curtis "Cubby" Coleman Ladner, Sr., age 76, a lifelong resident of Saucier, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha Cates Ladner and Oliver Ladner; his sister, Gloria "Snookie" Triplett; his brothers, George "AC" Ladner, and Eddie Ladner; and his son, Thomas "Wynn" Ladner.
Cubby is survived by his sons, Curtis "Curt" Ladner, Jr., and Colton (Dalena) Ladner, both of Saucier; his daughters, Angela Ladner Bond of Poplarville, Ruby (Scott) Simmons of Saucier, Paula Ladner of Pass Christian, Carla (Robert) Morgan of New Orleans, Pamela (Gerald) Moran of Saucier, Audrey (Jason) Bemis of Middleburg, FL, Raven Ladner of Saucier, and Chelsea (Brad) Dunhurst of Saucier; his siblings, Margaret Ladner of Saucier, Helen (Leonard) Bentz of Biloxi, Gerald Ladner (Pat Miller) of Saucier; his companion and best friend, Jackie Franklin of Saucier; fourteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
He was a self-employed plumber who not only built his own home, but had a part in building the dream homes of those he loved. Cubby never met a stranger, was quick witted, and joked with everyone. He always remarked, "Love ya more than all the "Yo yo's in Tokyo". He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Cubby instilled the appreciation of family to his children which he showed in many ways. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Lizana.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at St. Ann Catholic Church, Lizana with a visitation beginning at 10:00am at the church. Burial will follow in Oliver Ladner Cemetery.
