Curt Beyer, III, age 60, of Bay St. Louis, passed away on December 23, 2025.
He was born on September 19, 1965, in Coral Gables, FL, to Curt II and Gaydell Beyer. His family lived for several years in Billings, MT, where he graduated from Billings High School in 1984, and is the reason his closest friends from college still refer to him as “Montana”. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Agronomy in 1989 and his Master of Science in Ruminant Nutrition in 1993 from Mississippi State University. While at Mississippi State University, he met his future wife, Allison Frazier, whom he married in 1990. In 2001, they gave both sides of the family their only grandson, Luke. His career after college included the molasses industry, sales of agricultural and animal science products, coordinating scientific studies, developing seed technology, and developing livestock vaccines, medications, and feed toxin reduction binding agents. At the time of his retirement in 2019, he was Vice President of Sales and New Product Development for Great Plains Processing. Curt was highly respected in his field, and his boss from GPP told Allison and Luke, “Curt was irreplaceable, and it was silly to even try.”
If you knew Curt, you truly knew a one of a kind! He had a big personality, a big smile, and a big laugh. He definitely had the gift of gab, which helped him be so successful in his career. When all the family was together, you could usually catch him “stirring the pot” and then sitting back and laughing at the chaos that ensued! Little Curt was a true country boy who loved fishing, piddling/tinkering around the house, taking care of the family’s cows, and working around his parents’ farm; you could also frequently find him working on his boat… which never seemed to fully get fixed. Growing up, he always looked forward to spending summers on the Gulf Coast, visiting grandparents and extended family, and getting into all the trouble he and his cousins could find while running around on the family farm, usually while being egged on by his Uncle Basil! Most of Curt’s professional life was spent traveling all over the world, but after his stroke in 2019, he felt blessed to be able to stay home and assist his parents in managing their family farm. He was a devoted son and a constant help to his Dad in many ways, for which the rest of the family is immensely grateful.
Curt is survived by his wife of 35 years, Allison, his son, Luke, his father, siblings Desiree Krutilek (Mitch) and Derek Beyer (Melanie), cousin Kellie Carvin Anderson, who was more like a sister, father and mother-in-law Wayne and Annie Frazier, and brother-in-law Russell Frazier (Angie). He is also survived by 7 nieces, whom he always loved to tease mercilessly. He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, Curt and Reseda Beyer, Jessie Favre Cue, and his favorite great uncle, Basil Favre.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 9:30 - 11 am at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, 228 S Beach Blvd, Bay St. Louis, MS 39520. The rosary will be recited at 9 am.
