Crayton Eugene Cuevas, 65, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in Gulfport at 2:33 p.m. at The Boyington Nursing Home, where he had been a patient for 32 months.
He attended Harrison Central High School and was retired from Ingalls Shipyard. Before his illness he was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved the outdoors. His best quality was his sense of humor. Mr. Cuevas always enjoyed being around people and making them laugh, and he loved the holidays and being with the family.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to Chaplain Ken Hembree and Mrs. Virginia from hospice and of all his caretakers and friends at The Boyington. You made his stay better because of the love you gave.
He is preceded in death by his father, Crayton John Cuevas.
He is survived by his mother, Sarah B. Cuevas of Saucier; siblings, Gladys Duncan (Rev. Scooter) of Saucier, Barbara Waller (Ernie) of Saucier, Shirlene Brown (David) of Saucier, Terry Cuevas (Leslye) of Perkinston, Kathy Lee (Jerry) of Saucier, Janet Bosarge (Rex) of Saucier, Susan Bond (Johnny) of Thibodeaux, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Saucier Holiness Church, Bond Road, Saucier, MS . Visitation will be 10:30am until service time at the church.
