Craig Heston Fredericks, age 68, of Gulfport but a Biloxi boy at heart, was carried on Angel wings to The Lord Jesus Christ on June 20,2024 after a 3-year battle with Leukemia. He moved to Houston for MD Anderson treatment for the last 6 months having intensive chemo and radiation. Although he fought a hard fight The Lord wanted another Angel in heaven. The Lord was so merciful and granted him his last wish to come home and be with his loving wife and sons surrounding him at the time of death.
Craig was born in Venice, Florida on October 28,1955 to Jay and Miriam Trochesset Fredericks. He graduated from Biloxi High School in 1973. An avid sailor, Craig spent many wonderful hours sailing his sailboat out in the gulf as a child and then later with Stacey. Born a true rocker, Craig has rocked out his entire childhood on the beach and boating until his final breathe.
He loved working on vehicles and make it his career. His younger years were spent at Dave’s Garage in Biloxi, and he became known as a transmission specialist. Then he advanced his career through the Ford Motor Company; Estabrook Ford Dealership, Pascagoula, and Astro Ford Dealership, D’Iberville for a total of 33 years. In 2000 he became one of 366 technicians in the United States that achieved Original Senior Master Technician status with Ford Motor Company. He has had the pleasure of working for Jonathan Allen at J. Allen Toyota for the past 14 years where he achieved in 2017 Master Diagnostic Technician in MS. That year there were only 2 Master Diagnostic Technicians in the state of MS. Craig’s motto was “Fix It Right the First Time”!
Craig was a devoted husband and father, loving his Lord, his family, and his beloved pets CheChe, PePe, and Coco. This kind, gentle blue-eyed man exemplified a strong Christian. His devotion to his sons showed through supporting them with their football and robotics teams. He was a mentor for ST. Patrick’s Robotic Team from 2010 – 2015. The Krewe of Gemini played a happy part of his life.
Craig is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Stacey Scofield; his devoted sons Justin and Matt; his brother-in-law Scott Scofield; his special friend Holly Henderson; his brother at heart Kevin Lawrence; his precious sister at heart Carol Broussard. He is survived by numerous loving cousins. Preceding him in peace were his parents, Jay and Miriam Fredericks and his sister, Denise Fredericks.
