Connie Lou Lord (nee Cisco), 94, of Long Beach, Mississippi, passed away on December 29, 2023. She was born on December 1, 1929, in Hillsdale, Michigan. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren who loved her dearly. Connie was a woman of great faith and was a member of the First United Methodist Church (The Well) in Long Beach, MS.
Connie was a selfless and kind-hearted individual who taught the importance of respect and forgiveness through her actions. She believed in treating others with kindness and always had a friendly and sincere demeanor. Her motto, "Treat others as you want to be treated" and "If you cannot say something nice, don't say anything at all," was ingrained in her family and friends. Connie cared deeply about others and was always interested in their lives.
When faced with her cancer diagnosis, Connie responded with strength and faith, saying, "I don't know what tomorrow holds, but I know who holds tomorrow." She was a shining light of kindness, love, and unwavering faith in God. Her smile and laughter could light up any room.
Connie is survived by one brother, Marc Cisco (Donna), sister-in-law, Amy Cisco, son, David Lord (Lolo), daughters Michele Watkins and Marcia Lemon (Robert), as well as her grandchildren Melanie Roush (Tony Alfred), Michael Lemon (Cindy), Matthew Lemon (Betty Fitterer), Mariah Taylor (Jim), Marcus Phelps (Wendy), and Adam Lord (Adriana). She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Nick Roush (Heather Owens), Russel Lemon (Kylie Wantland), Trey & Joscelynn Lemon, Tobias, Abram, Asa, Judah, and Gideon Lemon, Violet, Anna, & Lucy Taylor, Auroa Paz Lord-Corral, and Caleb, Palmer & Jackson Phelps, and great-great-grandson Gabe Roush. Connie loved and was loved by a brother-in-law, sisters-in-laws, cousins, nephews, nieces and many friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tracy Lord, her parents Violet and Henry Cisco, her brothers Ned Cisco and Bob Cisco, and her great-granddaughter Courtney Roush.
Connie's greatest joy in life was providing love, acceptance, and support to her family. Her children were raised in a home filled with care, support, and unconditional love. She taught her children and grandchildren to parent with unconditional love, time, generosity, and grace.
Connie wished to be cremated. A graveside service will be planned later in Morenci, Michigan, where Connie will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Tracy, and their dear pet, Susie.

Thank you to VitalCare hospice nurse, Shyanne and CNA, Michelle, who took excellent loving care of her and was a great comfort to our family during the last week.
Our family wants to express our gratitude and thanks to a wonderful individual who loved and cared for her through Comfort Keepers. Makisha Sexton provided not only physical care but most importantly provided her with emotional and mental support for the last two years. Makisha had a devotional time with her daily and they would laugh and play cards together. We will be forever grateful to Makisha for loving her and she is now part of our family.

Connie Lou Lord will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of kindness, love, and faith will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
