Connie Allen

Connie Allen, 76, passed way on November 9, 2023.  She was born in Chattanooga, TN on September 6, 1947, but has lived on the Gulf Coast for most of her life.  She met the love of her life in 1965 and they married in 1966.

They had four children who she is survived by, and they are Pam Bermudez (William), Theresa Dobbs (Darryl), Shelia Levens (Michael), and Bobby Allen II (Darrian).  She is also survived by her brothers Johnnie Ray and Gary and  her sisters Joann, Sharon, and Barbara Sue.  She was very family oriented and always loved being around and spending time with her children, fourteen grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren. 

 She also loved working in her yard, reading, and working her “puzzle books”.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years Bobby R. Allen, her mother and father Barbara and Johnnie Harvey, her son-in-law Darryl Dobbs, her sisters Brenda and Gwen, and brother Michael.

  We would like to thank everyone for the prayers for our mother.  She was a strong woman and put up a tough fight.  She gave up that fight to be with her loved ones and we are grateful she is no longer suffering.  She liked things “short and sweet” so this is exactly how she would want it.  She will be extremely missed by her family and all that knew her.

Visitation will be  10:30 to 11:30 am Wednesday November 15, 2023 at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS 39503. Funeral services  will follow at 11:30 after the visitation at  funeral home.  Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
