Colton Maddox

Colton Maddox, age 10, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away on September 5, 2025.

Colton was a bright and joyful 5th grader whose imagination and adventurous spirit touched everyone who knew him. He dreamed big—whether it was creating cartoon videos, becoming a video director, or one day becoming a YouTube star. He loved to travel, reaching and seeing more places the most people do in a full lifetime. His creativity and laughter brought light to every room he entered.

He especially loved attending Camp Able, where he looked forward to reuniting with friends each year. Colton lived life with a heart full of wonder, cherishing his family, his friends, and even his loyal dog’s Puppy and Trixie.

He is survived by his loving parents, Mike and Kristin Maddox; his grandparents, Lynelle Howard and Skip Dickinson, Kim Maddox and Tom Sugar, and Scott Maddox, and Julian and Tina Vargas; and his great-grandparents, Sandra Maddox, and Bob and Patty Erskine. He will also be missed by numerous friends who were as close as family.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 from 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. at Riemann Funeral Home, Three Rivers Road Chapel, Gulfport.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Three Rivers Road Chapel, Gulfport. Friends may visit beginning at 1:30 p.m.

In memory of Colton, contributions may be made to Camp Able, an organization he deeply loved and talked about camp all year long.
