Clara Jean Frazier, a beloved figure in her community and cherished matriarch of her family, peacefully departed this life on May 17, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi, at the age of 87. Born on July 2, 1937, in Osyka, Mississippi, Clara shared her warmth and compassion with everyone she encountered throughout her life.

Clara had a distinguished career as the cafeteria manager for the Harrison County School District, where she was known for her dedication to providing nourishing meals and supporting the students. Her nurturing spirit extended far beyond her professional life; she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family unconditionally. Clara's passion for family was evident in her relationships with her children, Mary Frazier Wiggins (Dr. Michael Wiggins) and Hugh Frazier, Jr., along with her three grandsons, Garrett Michel, Ray Frazier, and James Frazier, who were the light of her life. She also embraced her role as a step-grandmother to Kirin, Sydney, Gavin, and Jillian Wiggins, expanding the bonds of love within her family.

Clara held a deep faith in the Lord, which guided her throughout her wonderful life. In addition to her family responsibilities, she also supported her husband, Hugh Ray Frazier, Sr., during his service in the United States Air Force, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to those she loved.

Her interests included the performing arts, gardening, and a special fondness for hummingbirds, which brought her joy and contentment. Clara's legacy is one of love for family, friends, and her community.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Ray Frazier, Sr.; her father, Alton Lee Redmond; her mother, Mary Elizabeth Redmond; her infant daughter, Anita Marie Frazier; and her brother, Robert Lee Redmond. They remain lovingly remembered by her surviving family members.
