Christopher Ware "Pawpaw" Powell, Sr., 73, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Annie E. "Mawmaw" Tillman Powell; parents, Alver B. and Jessie Adams Powell; grandson, Justin Powell Graves.
He is survived by his children, Travis Taylor, Billy Taylor, Tracie Burnette, Tammie Kates, Trudy Crumb, and Christopher Powell; 22 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; his furry best friend "Shockey".
A funeral service will be at 1:00PM on Monday, January 30, 2017 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A visitation will be held from 11:00AM till service time. A burial will follow the service at Evergreen Gardens Cemetery in Gulfport.
In lieu of flowers the family ask memorials be made to Wounded Warrior Project, Special Olympics or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
