He was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Miller Merchant; and his brother, Bobby Merchant.
Christopher is survived by his father, Donald Merchant, Sr.; his brothers, Jon and Donald Merchant; his cousin, Donna Shaw; his aunt, Sue Williams; and his uncle, Frank Miller.
