Christopher David
Kerr
July 28, 1974 – May 28, 2026
Christopher David Kerr, 51, of Ocean Springs, passed away on May 28. Chris was born as a surprise third child on July 28, 1974, in Biloxi, Mississippi, to Ray and Diane Kerr. He spent the majority of his life on the Gulf Coast, where he attended Ocean Springs High School and played football and if you were to ask him, he was good at it too.
Chris was a devoted New Orleans Saints fan who held season tickets for many years. His loyalty never wavered, even through the “brown paper bag” era, a true testament to his steadfast support. He had a deep love for adventure and travel, and he made it a point to visit many places across the United States. He worked for several casinos along the coast and, after Hurricane Katrina dramatically altered the landscape, he adapted and took on new jobs until the region rebuilt and came back stronger.
In 2003, he married and became the proud father of two children, Tanner and Paige. He cherished his family and friends deeply and was known as a loyal, caring friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Eugene Kerr, and his mother, Carolyn Diane Kerr.
Chris is survived by his children, Tanner Kerr and Paige Kerr of Davenport, Iowa; his brother, Kenn Kerr of Ocean Springs; his sister, Lisa Pickens of Biloxi, Mississippi; and his former wife, Jessica Kerr.
The family has chosen to hold private services.
Life often deals us difficult hands, but we always have a choice in how we respond. Chris’s journey reminds us to adapt with resilience, cherish the people we love, and—most importantly—take care of ourselves along the way.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, Biloxi, is serving the family.
