Christopher Brandon Blum

Christopher Brandon Blum, born September 20, 1983, in Biloxi, Mississippi, passed away suddenly on August 21, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi.

A proud graduate of the Job Corp of Gulfport with a GED, Christopher embarked on a career in the casino industry as a Security Guard. However, it was his later role as a devoted caregiver to his beloved grandmother, Carolyn Voss, that truly defined him. He exhibited an extraordinary talent for caregiving, demonstrating both compassion and diligence that left a lasting impact on those around him.

Christopher had a deep love for music, finding joy in exploring different styles and sounds. He expressed his creativity through drawing, and he enjoyed online gaming with friends.

He is survived by his mother, Sherri Voss Harris of Saucier, Mississippi; his father, Gerald Blum; his stepfather, Che Harris, and stepmother, Susan Blum; his beloved grandmother, Carolyn Voss; and extended family, including his aunts Lori Smith (Richard) of Biloxi, Jerri Kuns (Ray) of McHenry, and Stacey Brooks (Kurt) of Tallahassee, as well as his uncle Joseph Dobson (Mindy) of Long Beach. Christopher's legacy continues with his cousins Anthony Strausbaugh, Rachel Lott (Vic), Ashley Holly (Brad), Chad Kuns, Courtney Lawson, Kyle Kuns, Iris Strausbaugh, and Sammy McCardle, as well as great aunt Kay McCardle of Waveland.

Family members who preceded him in death include, his great grandparents, Ben and Ester Morreale; maternal grandfather, Frank T. Voss; paternal grandmother, Joann Blum; Great Aunt and Uncle Anthony, and Jokay Morreale of Houston; Great Aunt Bobbie Dobson of Bay St. Louis; and cousin, Joshua Lawson (16- year-old).

Christopher Brandon Blum’s memory will forever be etched in the hearts of all who knew him, particularly his "Granny," Carolyn, who he loved dearly. He will be profoundly missed, remembered for his unwavering love, his artistic spirit, and the light he brought into the world.

A visitation will be at 10:00am, Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport.
