Chris Hollis

Christopher “Chris” Hollis Sr., 39 of Gulfport, MS passed away on December 9, 2023.  He was born on October 2, 1984 in California.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Ruspoli; sister, Theresa Benjamin; uncles, Michael Rispoli, and Johnny Bilbo; grandparents, Albert & Loraine Benjamin; and grandmother, Jessie Stiglet

Chris enjoyed fishing with his boys and going to the shooting range.  He was a big gamer and spent many hours playing.  Chris loved being around his children and teaching them to play basketball.  He thoroughly loved playing with his dogs “Peach” and “Raven”. 

Chris graduated from Hancock County High School in 2002.  After graduation he joined the United States Army.  He served 10 months in the Iraq War serving during Operation Iraq Freedom.  Chris was honorably discharged in 2014.  He then settled back in the Mississippi Gulf Coast and worked at various restaurants in the area.  He met Christina in 2012 and they were married in 2013.  Chris will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Chris is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Christina Hollis; children, Christopher Lance “CJ” Hollis Jr, Cole Anthoney Hollis, Nicholas Charles Moore, and Madison Raine Moore; sister, Ambuyre Hollis (Matthew Nutter); niece, Abbigail Sarah-Ann Nutter; nephew, Edwin Sebastian Nutter; cousin, Donald Clark (Victoria Riley) and their children, Karrie Loften and Sasha Clark; aunt and uncles, Rebecca & Rusty Ruspoli, Chester & Andrea Bilbo, and Rose Clark.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Riemann Funeral Home- Gulfport Chapel (11280 Three Rivers Road).  Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Biloxi National Cemetery.
