Chizuko (Sue) Kakei Hill, 87, of Biloxi, MS, passed away at Keesler Medical Center on February 2, 2017.
Mrs. Hill was born in Nagasaki, Japan in 1929. She met the love of her life and husband of 57 years, Lyle Hill, in post war Japan, having survived the Atomic Bombing. A long-time resident of Biloxi, Sue enjoyed the time she spent with her many friends working at Hypo Corporation and Clements Wire Manufacturing Company (later Gulf Wire and Fleck, Inc.).
Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd, Biloxi, MS. Friends are invited to visit from 4:00 p.m. until the service. She will be laid to rest privately next to her husband, Lyle Hill, at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
She is survived by her two sons, Ellis (Lynn) Hill of Biloxi and Lyle (Karen) Hill, Jr of Franklin, TN, and three granddaughters, Jennifer Baxter of Philadelphia, PA, Heather Hill of Houston, TX and Amanda Hill of Franklin, TN.
The family would like to thank members of the 81st Medical Group at Keesler Medical Center for the exceptional quality of care and compassion their mother received while a patient at Keesler Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Mrs. Hill's memory be made to the donor's charity of choice supporting military families and families in need.
