Chester Wayne "Check" Ryan

Chester Wayne ""Check"" Ryan, age 70, of Gulfport, passed away on August 8, 2014.
His parents were Harvel Floyd and Claudia Marie Fore Ryan. He was born in Howison, MS, October 30, 1943, and had resided for years in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Floye Ryan (Haskel) Alexander. Survivors include his daughter: Jennifer Lynn (Billy) Odom, of Saucier, and grandchildren: Matthew (Debra) Odom; Stacey Odom; William Odom, and one great-grandchild, Haley Odom, and a special step-son, Travis Stacks. He also leaves a brother, Harvel Floyd ""Bud"" (Carol) Ryan and sister, Charlotte Strahan, along with many relatives and friends to honor his memory.
Wayne grew up in Howison and McHenry, MS. He learned from his Uncle Hyman Fore, at an early age riding in the cab of his drag-line, the heavy equipment skills that would define his working career.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 12, at 2 P.M.; with visitation from 12-2 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, Pine Street, in McHenry, MS. The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice.
