Dr. Cheryl Lynn Robley, a dedicated clinical psychologist and an esteemed specialist in alcohol and drug treatment, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025, in Gulfport, MS. Born on December 18, 1947, in Jackson, TN, Dr. Robley made significant contributions to her field and left an indelible mark on the lives she touched through her work.

Driven by a passion for helping others, Dr. Robley obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University, followed by a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee. Her commitment to mental health and wellness led her to establish West Tennessee Psychological Services, where she provided vital support and guidance to countless individuals and families struggling with addiction and mental health challenges.

Dr. Robley's legacy extends far beyond her professional achievements. She is survived by her loving children, Kelly (Christopher) Mason and William (Julie) Johnson, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Addyson & Sydney Johnson, Cody (Sarah) Mason, and Ashlyn Mason. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Adrihanna & Oliver Thompson, who brought immense joy to her life.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the exceptional care Dr. Robley received from the management, staff, and nurses of Lakeview Nursing Center and Vital Caring Hospice. Their compassion and dedication were pivotal in providing comfort during her final days.

Dr. Robley was preceded in death by her father, Neely H. Robley; her mother, Merle Edwina Robley; her brother, Jeffrey Scott Robley; and her beloved husband, Franklin Talle Johnson. While her family mourns her passing, they also celebrate a life filled with love, achievement, and unwavering commitment to making a difference in the world. Dr. Cheryl Lynn Robley will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
