Cheryl Youngblood Porter, age 66, of Gulfport, passed away on August 5, 2015 in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Porter; her parents, Ora and Willie Youngblood; and a brother, Bruce Youngblood.
She is survived by her life partner, Stanley Wooten of Gulfport; her siblings, Joan (Ronald) Jones of Frederick, CO, Barry (Joyce) Youngblood of Gulfport, MS, and Donna (Barry) Davenport of Hampton, AR; eleven nieces and nephews; and twelve great nieces and nephews.
A longtime resident of the Gulf Coast, she was a cosmetologist for many years and a casino employee for over 20 years before her retirement. She shared her creative talent for art through painting, crafts, and ceramics. Cheryl is known for her generosity to others by sharing her creative deserts and was a loyal friend to many. She was a Christian and a member of the Baptist community.
Memorial contributions may be made in Cheryl's honor to the Barry James Youngblood Memorial Scholarship, MSMS Foundation, 1100 College Street, Columbus, MS 39701.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport with a visitation for family and friends from 9:00 AM until the service. Burial will be held Saturday afternoon at Knight Family Cemetery, Pine, LA.
