Charlton "Bryan" Blakeney

Dr. Charlton Bryan Blakeney, age 56, of Gulfport, passed away on August 18, 2014 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his father in law, Curtis Miller Parker; and his grandparents, Earl and Gladys Blakeney and Brady and Ruth Smith.
Bryan is survived by his loving wife of thirty two years, Karen Parker Blakeney of Gulfport; his parents, Charles and Nancy Blakeney of Gulfport; his children, Adam Blakeney, Natalie Benefield and her husband, Carter, Steven Blakeney, Michelle Blakeney, and Nathan Blakeney, all of Gulfport; his granddaughter, Honey Jane Blakeney; a sister, Jan Blakeney Dern; and four nieces, Crystal Price, Danielle Cockrell and her husband, J.T., Claudia Parker, and Charlotte Parker.
He was a 1976 graduate of Gulfport High School where he was named 'Mr. Gulfport High' and graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. He has practiced dentistry on the Gulf Coast since 1984.
Bryan was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church, Gulfport where he served as a Deacon and had been very involved in the church's children's ministry.
As a parent, he enjoyed coaching his children's soccer and baseball teams and was a member of Bayou Bluff Tennis Club where he played tennis with his many friends. He was an avid New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Braves, and Ole Miss Rebels fan.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Grace Memorial Baptist Church, 2301 23rd Ave, Gulfport with a visitation for family and friends from 10:00 AM until the service. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
