Charlotte Ann Thrash, age 80, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on December 30, 1945, to Mary Elizabeth Broadus and Glen “Duber” Broadus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Elizabeth Broadus and Glen “Duber” Broadus; her husband, Donald Guy Cooper; her sister, Rita Broadus Irwin; and her nephew, Kai Thrash.

She is survived by her loving children, Christie Thrash (Brent Necaise), and Michael (Chasity) Thrash. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Tyler (Sarah) Ladner, Ashlyn Ladner, Trent Thrash, Kinley Thrash, Reed Thrash, Brent Necaise Jr., and Alyssa (Jared) Shaw; and her precious great-granddaughter, Meadow Ladner.

Charlotte is also survived by her siblings, Rachel Green, Glen Broadus, Bridget Helveston, and Kenneth Broadus.

A 1965 graduate of Harrison Central High School, Charlotte retired from the Harrison County Tax Assessor’s Office, where she took great pride in her work and formed lifelong friendships that remained by her side throughout her life.

Charlotte’s greatest joy was her family. She never missed a family gathering or an event involving her children or grandchildren. Her unwavering love and support were gifts treasured by all who knew her.

She was also a devoted and active member of Saucier United Methodist Church, where her faith and servant’s heart touched many lives.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of St. Joseph Hospice for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Charlotte and her loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Hospice- Gulfport in her memory.

Pallbearers are Tyler Ladner, Trent Thrash, Brent Necaise Jr., Tim Thrash, Taylor Thrash, and Brycen Bonta.

Friends are invited to the visitation and service to be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Thrash will be laid to rest at Broadus Cemetery, Weekley Road, Saucier.
