Charlotte Louise Reshew, age 88, passed away on December 23, 2016 in Covington, LA. Charlotte was the fourth of five sisters born to Amelia and Charles Lund in Sydney, Michigan. Charlotte and her sisters ended up in the Washington D.C. area living in suburban Maryland. Charlotte married Jerry and had two sons; Benjamin (deceased) and Theodore. She was a talented individual and worked as a fashion model and a cabaret singer for a brief time. She was a career cartographic draftsman with the US Naval Hydrographic Office in Suitland, Maryland from which we retired. From there she moved to Diamondhead with her husband Jerry. Three of her sisters followed suit and they became a social force in their new surroundings. The four of them were fondly called "The Sisters".
While living in Maryland, Charlotte became interested in outdoor recreation and eventually became the State Women's Field Archery Champion. In addition, she raised and showed Great Dane dogs and became an accomplished small boat sailor. These activities came with her to Mississippi. Diamondhead was the perfect location for her dynamic personality. She started a Sweet Adeline chorus and became active in the Krewe of Diamondhead. Her declining health caused her to scale back her social calendar. She maintained a positive outlook until the very end of her productive life.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday January 4, 2017 at 2 PM at the Diamondhead Country Club Ball Room, Diamondhead, MS.
