Charlie David Harrison, Jr., age 82 and a resident of Gulfport, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, November 7, 2012.
Mr. Harrison was an active member of Woolmarket Baptist Church and a previous member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church.
Mr. Harrison was born in Latham, AL on October 1, 1930 and went to school in Stockton, AL. He served 4 years in the Navy during the Korean War. He had a civil service career of 35 years at Keesler Air Force Base as an electronics technician.
He was married to the love of his life, Louise, for 55 years. Devoted and loving daddy, he guided his son to be the Christian father he is today and he always made his 3 girls feel like ""Daddy's Little Girls"".
He lived a Godly life and was a Christian example and witness to everyone by the way he lived his daily life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie David Harrison, Sr. and Sarah Jane Tyree Harrison; brother, Henry Harrison; and sister, Rachel Paul.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Harrison of Gulfport; son, David Wayne (Penny) Harrison of McHenry; daughters, Belinda (Danny) Wilkerson of Biloxi, Kimberly Marie Stahl of Austin, TX, and Ginger Lynn (Kenny) Lehman of Woodstock, GA; sisters, Eleanor Minchew of Theodore, AL and Frances McDonald of Biloxi; brother, William F. Harrison of Gulfport, MS; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 1pm-3pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd in Gulfport, with a Celebration of Life Service at 3:00pm at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Gardens Cemetery.
