Charles William ""Chuck"" Yetter, age 71, of Bonita, CA, passed away on November 5, 2013, in California.
Mr. Yetter was born in Long Beach, CA, to Charles Byron and Millicent Rose Ball Thompson. He served two tours in Vietnam in the U.S. Navy and retired after 21 years. After his military career, he worked at Coast Transit Authority for 15 years. He held several positions there, the last being director of operations, before relocating to California in 2004. He was an avid member of the NRA and the California Muzzleloaders Association where he earned many accolades for his sharp shooting. He was also a 33rd Degree Master Mason from the Chula Vista Lodge No. 626, Chula Vista, CA.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Byron Yetter; his dad, Charles George Thompson; and his infant son.
He is survived by his loving wife, Becky Yetter of California and Gulfport; his mother, Millicent Rose Thompson of California; his stepsons, Wesley R. ""Boomer"" Smith, and David Lee Smith, both of Gulfport; his brother, Carl Thompson of California; and four loving grandchildren; and many loving friends in California and Gulfport.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors provided by the U.S. Navy.
