Charles Virgle Whitman

Charles Virgle Whitman, Jr., age 56, of Pass Christian, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014.
Mr. Whitman was born in South Carolina and lived on the Coast most of his life. He was a maritime electrical engineer and a jack of all trades. He was good-hearted man who helped anyone and everyone in need. He always had several projects going at once and enjoyed staying busy and tinkering with things.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Miriam Bracey and Harvey Bracey; his father, Charles V. Whitman, Sr.; an unborn child; and his sister, Cheryl Lynn Bracey.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Beth M. Whitman of Pass Christian; children, Breanna Michelle Whitman and Courtney Madison Whitman; siblings, George Harvey Bracey, Charlene Webb, Pensee Cotzin, Nalamon Monczynski, and Debra Wilhoite; and Bruce Wyrick, Howard Jones, Bonnie Rose, Warren and Sara Rose, Debra Vogt, Ethan Vogt, Joey Hardy, and other extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 2:00 p.m.
