Charles Calvin Walker

July 23, 1953 — June 30, 2015

Charles C. Walker, age 61, a much-loved, remarkable husband, father, grandfather, brother and son of Ocean Springs, MS departed this life with completion and perfection to rest with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ peacefully, at the Biloxi VA Community Living Center on June 30, 2015 with his daughter Faith, by his side. He bravely confronted and fought cancer.
He was born on July 23, 1953 in Meridian, MS and resided on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi for the past 17 years, having joined the USAF, in June of 1973 with extensive travels thru-out the United States and Overseas. He retired from the military in June of 1997 from the 437th Special Operations Division, Charleston AFB, SC. He transitioned from Charleston AFB to accept a position as a Training Instructor to the military and civilian students both foreign and domestic at Keesler AFB, in Biloxi.
He graduated from Meridian High School in May of 1973. He received an Associate Degree in Electronic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, Maxwell AF, in Alabama in 1996. He received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Technical Occupational Education (TOE ), with Minor in Management Information System from the University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, MS in December 2005, and went on to receive a Master of Science Degree in Information Technology Management (ITM) with Honors; Magna Cum Laude from Touro University International, Cypress, CA in June 2008. He furthered his knowledge with staying current with certifications in Information technology. He was a very accomplished gentleman.
Mr. Walker was currently working at the 336th Training Squadron, Keesler AFB, Biloxi, MS as System and Database Administrator Instructor and Instrumental System Developer.
He is survived by his wife D. Jean Walker; son, Garnel L. Curley Jr., daughter Faith L. Walker, all of Ocean Springs, MS.,and daughter Naresea E. Alexander (Gene) of Tallahassee, FL; Granddaughter Halle R. Curley of Ocean Springs, MS; Sister Cora F. McNair (Garry) of Detroit, MI; Brenda J. Boyd (Jonny B) and Laura Ann Altman (Connie) of Meridian, MS; Sister Nicole Baker of Meridian, MS. Brothers: Retired CMSgt. USAF Eddie L. Walker (Japonica) of Mansfield, TX; Robert A. Ward Jr., Toney L. Ward ( Agnes) and Kenny R. Ward (Linda) all of Meridian, MS Aunt Dorothy of California: His mother Sarah E. Ward, Grandmother Corina Young Walker and Grandfather Eppie Nepal Williams; His father Thomas Charles Naylor, Grandmother Maggie Naylor and Grandfather John Wesley Naylor all preceded in death. A host of cousins, nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews. He has lost of love from more relatives, co-workers and friends.
