Charles Robert Shelton, Jr., age 68 and a resident of Poplarville passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in Biloxi.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Robert Shelton, Sr. of Port St. Lucie, FL on May 15th of this year.
Mr. Shelton was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. In his free time he enjoyed astronomy and music.
Mr. Shelton is survived by Clare E. (Gould) Shelton, his wife of 50 years; three children, Teresa C. Shelton-Welsh, Charles R. Shelton, III, and Christopher R. Shelton; his sister, Regina T. (Shelton) Nelson; and three grandchildren, Taylor M. Welsh, Christopher R. Shelton, Jr., and Katie Shelton.
Friends are invited to visit from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 14, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Poplarville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. The graveside service will take 2:30 p.m. on Monday at Biloxi National Cemetery.
