Charles Etheredge

Charles Euel Etheredge, 76 years old, of Biloxi, Mississippi, stepped into heaven to be with the Lord December 19, 2017, because Jesus stepped onto this earth to pave the way to heaven for us, so when we pass we can go directly to heaven.
The funeral service will be held at 9:45 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. Dr. Argile Smith of Parkway Baptist Church and Wayne Etheredge will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 8:30 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral at Biloxi National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
Charles was born in Pensacola, FL on August 8, 1941. He graduated from Tate High School and at the age of 19 joined the US Air Force and acquired the rank of Chief Master Sergeant (E-9), and retired after 21 years of service.
Charles was married to Carolyn Hawkins, his High School sweetheart, on October 24, 1960; they were married 57 years.
Charles worked as an Electrician for Mississippi Power for 17 years. He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren with all his heart, fishing, and service to the Lord.
Charles is survived by his wife, Carolyn, his daughter Leslie Melton and her husband Jeff, his son Patrick Etheredge and wife Sherri, seven grandchildren: Jeremiah Young, Ryan Young, Noah Etheredge, Keegan Etheredge, Alleigh Etheredge, Joshua Melton, and Samantha Rockholt; two great-grandchildren: Kamdyn Young and Evie Young; and other family and friends.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald P. Etheredge and Helen Mitchell, and a brother Eugene Etheredge.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to your favorite charity or Parkway Baptist Church Building Fund. The family of Charles Etheredge wishes to thank Dr. Allison Wall, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the VA Hospice for loving care.
