Charles Rogers

YNC Charles Edward Rogers, U.S. Navy, Ret., age 89, of Gulfport, passed away on July 14, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty K. Rogers; his parents, Warren Earl Rogers and Beatrice Virginia Pounds Rogers; his sisters, Mary Alice Rogers Hatley and Ella Mae Rogers Pittman.

Charles is survived by his sister, Gaye N. Rogers; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was born in New Orleans, LA, lived in Hammond, LA and was a current resident of Gulfport, MS at the Armed Forces Retirement Home. He attended Independence High School, in Independence, LA. Charles also bravely fought in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of Singing River Gulfport Hospital, the Armed Forces Retirement Home, and to the Riemann Family Funeral Home.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 29, 2022, from 9:30 - 10 am at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport.  The funeral service will be at 10 am in the chapel.  Interment will be at 1 pm at Barrancas National Cemetery.
