SMSgt. Charles Alcus Dennison, Sr., U.S.A.F., Retired, age 80, passed away peacefully at Gulfport Memorial Hospital on Veterans Day, November 11, 2013.
Chuck was born on May 10, 1933, in Magnolia, MS, to George and Gladys Dennison. He retired as a SMSgt after 28 years of service in the United States Air Force. After his military career, he worked at Keesler Federal Credit Union for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Gladys Dennison and brothers, Newell, Kenneth and Delos Don.
Survivors include Jewel, his loving wife of 60 years; children, Debra (Eric), Pat, Wanza (John), Charles, Jr. (Marion), Cheryl (Marty), Jimmy (Deni), and Rico Hull; grandchildren, Tina, Shane, Derek, Matthew, Julie, Erin, Nathan, Lena, Kenny, Justin, Rachael, Josh, Taylor and Tristan; great-grandchildren, Devon, Jaikob, Mason, Jaime, Krista, Jack, Domenik, Matthew, Aeriyana, Bailey, Zach, Ella, Preston, Donovin, and Aiden; step great-grandchildren, Corey and Sharon; his brothers, William and Bonney; and sister Oveta.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.
Graveside services will follow at Biloxi National Veterans Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Blanks, Dr. Johns, Dr. Grow and all the many therapists and health care nursing personnel who showed compassion for our loved one.
