Charles E. Clark

Charles E. Clark of Houston, TX passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at age 71.
Born on June 21, 1944 in Gulfport, he was preceded in death by his parents, Gene M. Clark, Sr. and Mary W. Clark and his sister, Mary Linda Clark all of Gulfport, MS.
He is survived by his life partner of 39 years, Wade L. Mickesh of Houston, TX; his brother, Gene M. Clark, Jr. and wife, Linda of Alabaster, AL; his nieces, Angela Clark of Alabaster, AL and Suzanne Clark of Biloxi, and his precious great-nephew, Tyler Morgan Clark of Alabaster.
Charlie is remembered as a caring and loving partner and will be greatly missed. He was a fun, light-hearted and jovial soul. Charlie loved dogs and cats (and unicorns). He was a frequent reveler at Mardi Gras in New Orleans. He was a devoted Catholic and spent many years as a member of The Holy Family Catholic Church in Missouri City, TX.
Charlie was a graduate of Gulfport High School, Class of '62 and
Mississippi State University: Bachelor of Science -- Marketing '68. He worked for AT&T for over 10 years in Houston, San Francisco and Oakland and continued his communications career for 27 years with Continental Airlines (now Delta) & Electronic Data Systems (now HP) in Houston.
A time of gathering for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, from 1:30pm until 3:00pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. The dress is casual. It is springtime on the Gulf Coast. Dress for the warm weather with spring colors.
A graveside service will follow at 3:30pm at Evergreen Gardens in Gulfport.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute to your local SPCA or Humane Society.
