Ceville Ladner, Jr., age 80, of Long Beach, passed away on September 22, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his wife and the love of his life, JoAnn Cuevas Ladner; his parents, Ceville and Emma Ladner; his siblings, Welton Ladner, Esther Ladner, Mamie Necaise, Wilma Hurst, Glenn Gilreath, Ray Ladner, Pete Ladner, Betty Arnold, and John V. Ladner.
Survivors include his 4 children, Ron (Laura) Ladner, Janet Ladner Bennett, Kelly (Katie) Ladner, and Scottie (Tammy) Ladner; 2 sisters, Emma Liccardi and Edna Guidry; 9 grandchildren, Lauren Ladner, Chanel Ladner, Sarah Painter, Trey Ladner, Devin Ladner, Ryan Ladner, Kamry Ladner, Blake Ladner and Kaylee Ladner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was retired from Local Union 903 and he touched many young lives by giving selflessly as a coach and president of Long Beach PeeWee Basketball, where he coached the Saints for many years. He loved the boys and was a positive influence on their lives.
His positive, loving and kind support will be missed by his children and those that loved him.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, from 12 pm - 2 pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 East Beach Blvd, Long Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 pm in the church. Interment will be in Long Beach City Cemetery.
