Celia E Rhear

Celia E Rhear of Perkinston, MS. passed away on January 20, 2024, in Gulfport, MS.  

She was born in Gulfport to the late Lester and Lillian Phelps.   She was a member of the Steep Hollow Baptist in Poplarville, MS.  She enjoyed crocheting and working outside, tending to her roses and other plants.  

She was preceded in death by her husband James D. Rhear Sr, two sons Barry Holley and Raymond Holley, one sister Margie Phelps, and three brothers William Phelps, TJ Yarbrough, and Roger Phelps. Celia leaves her cherished memories to her sons Lester Holley and  Christopher Rhear (Marissa Harris); stepsons James D. Rhear Jr., John Timothy Rhear (Kathy), and Darren Rhear; two sisters Charlotte Ladner and Helen Ewing; grandson Aubrey Rhear.

 Graveside services will be at 1:30 pm Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS.
