Ms. Cecil Cox of Bay St. Louis, passed away at the age of 88 on July 8, 2013, surrounded by her family.
She was retired from Gulfport Memorial Hospital and the Gulfport Veterans Administration Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Cox and Agnes Cox Sprinkle; two brothers, Ernest Cox and William Cox; her sister, Eunice Boudreaux; her sister-in-law, Gladys Cox; and her niece, Jeannie Laughlin.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Jesse and Shannon Parker of Pass Christian; her nephews, Ernie Cox, Herman Cox, Richard Cox, Steve Cox, Jesse Parker, Jr., Richie Parker, and Greg Parker; her nieces, Linda Duval, Renee Malley, Barbara Swilley, Becky Clemens, Kim Cox, Dawn Cox, and Patty Trosclair; her twenty-seven great nieces and nephews; and her fifteen great-great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dunbar Nursing Home, Bay St. Louis, for the wonderful care they gave to their Aunt CeCe. They also would like to offer a special thank you to Kelly, whom Aunt CeCe loved like a daughter, for the loving care she gave to their aunt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon on Friday, July 12, 2013, at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, Bay St. Louis, where family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until Mass. Immediately following the Mass, an interment service will be held at Live Oak Cemetery in Pass Christian, MS.
