Catherine Stanford

Catherine "Peco" Stanford, age 86 passed away February 20, 2018.
She was born Catherine "Peco" Thompson in Long Beach, MS to H. Roy and Myrtis Thompson on September 15, 1931. Catherine graduated from Long Beach High School and attended churches in Long Beach and Pass Christian, MS.  She resided and raised her family in Long Beach before moving to Petal in 2004.  Peco was a lifelong Christian, a student of the Bible, and a witness to God's loving grace and salvation to her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ben W. Stanford; her parents, H. Roy and Myrtis Thompson; and her brother, Allen Thompson.
Peco is survived by her children, Ken "Rocky" Stanford (Mary), Alan "Bo"  Stanford (Cindy), and Sandra  Lawrence (Bill); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Bonilla (Fabri), Catherine Kirkland (Koby), Jeff  Stanford (Kylie), Jesse Nelson (Matt), Jake Stanford (Sabrina), Cassie Stanford, Kimberly Guthrie (Kurt), Matthew Lawrence, and Daniel Lawrence (Megan), and Michael Lawrence; and twelve beautiful great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd., Long Beach with a visitation from 10:00 AM until the service.  Burial will follow in Long Beach City Cemetery.
