Catherine Ann Rogers

Catherine Ann Rogers, age 86, passed away on December 5, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi. She was a longtime resident of the Gulf Coast and was born in Miami, Florida.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Rogers; her parents, Alfred and Susan Prevatt Peterson and her sisters, Suandra Parsons and Alice Hall.

She is survived by her children, Lee Rogers (Kathy), Scott Rogers, and David Rogers; her brother, Alfred Peterson (Amelia); her grandchildren, Joseph Ladner (Summer), Joshua Ladner (Jessica), and Annie Rogers; five great-grandchildren, Bobbie Smith, Serenity Hamro (Michael), Stephen Smith (Natalie), Timothy Ladner, and Jessica Ladner; and five great-great-grandchildren, Leo, Naomi, Oliver, Iris, and Kinsley.

Ann graduated from high school, met and married her husband in 1957. She spent much of her married life as an Air Force wife supporting her husband and caring for their 3 sons. After her husband retired from the Air Force she assisted him as the secretary for his financial planning business. She also volunteered as the librarian at First Baptist Church of Biloxi as well as singing in the choir and playing in the handbell ensemble. For the past 7 years Ann was a member of Bel-Aire Baptist Church in Gulfport.

Ann was an avid animal lover. Before suffering a stroke in 2004, one of her favorite pastimes was spending time with the dolphins at Marine Life in Gulfport.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Lakeview Nursing Home and Vital Caring Hospice for the care provided over the past three years.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Bel-Aire Baptist Church Youth Fund.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 10:45 am, with visitation starting at 10:00 am at Bel Aire Baptist Church, 15080 Dedeaux Road Gulfport, MS. Interment will follow at 12:30 pm at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave. Biloxi, MS.
