Catherine Louise Knight Baber, affectionately known to many as "Miss Catherine," passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, with her three children at her bedside.
She was born on December 31, 1947, in Canton, MS, grew up in Madison, MS, and moved to Pass Christian, MS, her final home, in 1994.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. "Chuck" Baber, daughter, Laurie Baber, and parents, Charles and Julia Knight.
She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Lofton (Steven) and Darla Brown (Chad); her son, Brandon Baber (Lissa Mitchell); sisters, Patricia Griffin (Bill) and Edwina Galyean; brother, Charles Knight (Linda); and grandchildren, Connor, Parker, Finley, Hadley, Kole and Blakeleigh.
Catherine was known for her generous, forgiving heart and her endless supply of hugs and "Love You's". She weathered many storms, held her head high and never, ever, gave up on her loved ones. She was loved greatly by so many and will be missed just as much.
There will be a gathering for family and friends on Thursday, April 12, 2018, from 5 - 6:00 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Road, Pass Christian. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 pm in the chapel.
On Saturday, April 14, 2018, a second visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 202 E. Peace St., Canton, MS. She will be buried at Canton Cemetery following visitation.
