Cassie Sylvia Lassiter, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 in Lewisville, TX. She was born in Jackson, MS and had been a longtime resident of Gulfport before moving to The Colony, TX last year.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Troy L. Wooley and Bertie Mae Saucier; her brother, Troy L. Wooley, Jr.; her youngest daughter, Adria Anne Linch; and her grandson, Carrington Costa.
She leaves behind her husband of 16 years, Robert L. Lassiter; three sons, Ed Beasley, Jr. (Missy), John Beasley, Sean Beasley (Amy); daughter, Renee Busch; two stepsons, Robert Benjamin Lassiter (Diana), Timothy R. Lassiter (Katrina); sister, Ann Farmer (Fred); nine grandchildren, Courtney Beasley, Shane Beasley, Adria Hooper (Steven), Jessica Beasley, Katie Lassiter, Robert Gabriel Lassiter, Samantha Thelen, Sunday Garza, Santiago Garza; great-granddaughter, Madison Herbst, and one great-grandson due in October; sister-in-law, Lisa Lassiter who was not only a best friend, but her caregiver for years; sister-in-law, Terrie Lassiter; nieces, Tanya O'Neal (Tony)Pam Irwin Malone (Wayne), Rhea Lassiter, Nancy Lassiter, and Nancy Mitchell; nephew, Troy L. Wooley, III; great nieces, Anna (Bryan), Kristin (Shaw), Sarah, Katie, Emily (Blake); great nephew, Ryan; and her very special friends, Norma Gomez and Donna Roberts; her other youngens, Mary, Angela, Lynn, Beth, Ann, Darrin, Karen, Laura, Angel, and Michael.
Cassie worked 21 years at the Biloxi VA Medical Center before retiring in 2002. She enjoyed spending time with her family and pets, and could sit for hours with a kitty or puppy in her lap.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 11:30 AM, with visitation starting at 9:30 AM, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd. Biloxi, MS. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
