CaSandra Busse Mettlach, a dedicated speech therapist and beloved mother, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, in Pensacola, Florida. Born on February 14, 1958, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, CaSandra lived a life filled with purpose, love, and devotion to her family and profession.
CaSandra earned her Master’s degree in Speech Therapy and devoted her career to helping others find their voice. She was widely respected for her compassionate approach and commitment to improving the lives of her clients. Her professional accomplishments were matched only by the pride she took in her family, which was truly the center of her life.
Although CaSandra spent most of her life in Florida, she held a deep appreciation for Mississippi, particularly as a resident of the Carriere area from 1991 to 2005. She considered both Mississippi and Florida as her cherished homes. Outside of her professional and family commitments, she enjoyed the art of travel, especially the intricate planning that went into each trip, finding joy in the anticipation and preparation as much as the journey itself.
CaSandra’s proudest accomplishment was the time she spent with her family, and being a mother brought her the greatest joy. She is survived by her devoted children: Courtney Hall (Adam), Emily Randall (Robbie), Michael Maxwell Mettlach, and William Avery Mettlach. She also leaves behind her loving sisters, Candra Busse and Andra Busse, and was a proud grandmother to Meralie Hall, Rowan Randall, Jovie Randall, and Sadie Randall.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Mettlach; her parents, Ramona and Clement Busse; and her sister, Randa Miller. Their memory remains an enduring part of her life and legacy.
A visitation will be held on May 4, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of The Gulf Catholic Church, located at 228 S Beach Blvd, Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. This will be followed by a Mass of Christian will be celebrated at 11 AM. The ceremony will conclude with a burial service at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave, Biloxi, Mississippi, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Throughout her life, CaSandra Busse Mettlach demonstrated unwavering strength, kindness, and dedication. She touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy defined by love, service, and family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who had the privilege to know her.
