Cary Holley Cuevas

Cary Ann Holley Cuevas, age 65, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026 surrounded by loved ones at her home.

Cary could always be found with a cup of coffee and a fast car nearby. Her greatest joys in life were being with family, cleaning her house, and driving over the speed limit. She loved spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Cary was a gentle soul, soft spoken, and walked lightly – but could always carry more weight than most. She was a big sister to 8 siblings who looked up to her like a mother.

Those who knew Cary knew how much she took pride in everything she touched. She loved experiencing new things, but always did her research first. Cary had a contagious smile, quick witted humor, and a warmth to her that made everyone feel at home. She loved with all her heart, fiercely, and without judgement.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sonny Holley; her mother, Mary Berhow; her step-father, Jerry Berhow; her step-mother, Linda Holley; a brother, Jesse “Bubba” Holley’ a sister, Mary Ann Woodard; her grandfather, Dewitt Cook; and her grandmother, Mamie Cook.

Mrs. Cuevas is survived by her loving daughter, Mandi Holley Ahlers (Kyle); her siblings, James Cook (Christy), Bryan Cook (Monica), Bobby Cook, Russell Bobinger (Angel), Karlotta Bonilla (Renato), and Alisa Clark (Joe); her grandchildren, Gabe Ahlers (Alicia), Noah Ahlers, and Abigail Ahlers; her great-grandchildren, Memphis, Matilda, Kylie, Reagan, and Camille; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank the ones who helped keep her comfortable and feel the love in the last few days and weeks. Her sister, Karlotta, and her sister-in-law, Angel, showed so much care and love to guide her through her final days.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 5 - 7 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd, West Jackson County. A funeral service will be at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel.
