Carolyn Kay Breal Albritton

Carolyn Kay Breal Albritton, affectionately known as “Granny”, entered the kingdom of heaven surrounded by her family on Monday, December 4, 2023, at the age of 70. Born January 20, 1953, in Biloxi, Mississippi to Harold John and Theresa Rita “Rissa” Parker Breal. She graduated from Biloxi High School in 1971.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Joan Breal and beautiful daughter Kimberly Ann. Kay is survived by her loving husband of 50 and a half years, Jimmie Wayne Albritton Sr.; adoring sons; Jimmie Wayne Albritton, Jr. (Brande) and Tracy Michael Albritton (Kelly); her most precious grandchildren, Nolan, Morgan (Patrick) and Holten; her brothers; Harold Breal (Charlotte) and John Breal; her brothers-in-law, Doug Albritton (Janet) and Ken Remfert; and also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Kay worked as an account services surveyor for 32 years with AAFES, while devoting her life to caring for her daughter Kimberly. Her retirement was cut short when her grandson Nolan was born. At this time, she opened her heart and home to many children whom she loved dearly as her own. Kay loved her family, cooking for her family, shopping, Mardi Gras and having the newest Apple technology and gadgets. Kay was silly, selfless, giving and had the patience of a saint. She will be deeply missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Friday, December 8, 2023, from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12290  Depew Road, Gulfport, MS.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 3:00 p.m.

Kay will be laid to rest at St. James Cemetery on Pass Road in Gulfport.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
